The OFFICIAL date & time we will begin accepting order requests is:

1. ❓ FAQ’s

1️⃣ What is the minimum order?

🐥 Chicks – 4 chick minimum (Pick-up only)

🐣 Hatching Eggs – ½ dozen minimum (Mixed breeds or all one breed). Available for pickup or shipping (FL only).

2️⃣ Is there a maximum order?

Yes — due to extremely high demand. Max’s are listed below. HOWEVER, if we have any extras available that don’t match anyones else’s order when we contact you, then they’re up to grabs! Chicks or hatching eggs!

🐥 Chicks
Maximums are based on how many of our six breeds you’re ordering:

4+ breeds → Max 2 of each
3 breeds → Max 3 of each
1–2 breeds → Max 4 of each

*Silkies excluded → Max 2 per order

🐣 Hatching Eggs

½ dozen maximum (min & max, yes)
(Mixed breed or all one breed)

*Silkies excluded → Max 2 per order

***EXTRA BREED! - BC1 Olive Eggers (Hatching Eggs Only)
- Minimum: ½ dozen
- Maximum: 1 dozen
• Same pricing as 1st generation Olive Eggers (see website for pricing)
• Cross: Black Copper Marans rooster × Olive Egger (F1) hens

3️⃣ Do you sell juveniles, pullets, or laying hens?

No. We only sell baby chicks and hatching eggs. (…and farm fresh eggs)

4️⃣ Are the chicks sexed?

No. All chicks are sold straight run (gender undetermined).

However — we do help rehome roosters for free through our Rooster Round Up events!

5️⃣ Do you ship?

Yes — Hatching Eggs only (Florida only).

2. 📧 ORDER REQUEST INFORMATION (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY)

This year we will be forming our wait list via EMAIL. (Order requests are not done through our website)

🚨 A BRAND NEW email address for ordering will be announced on March 7th at 11AM here on our Facebook page.

This email address will be for ORDER REQUESTS ONLY and must contain the required information below.

Before sending your email:
👉 Please visit our website (HappyFeetHatchery.com) and review all breed information so you know exactly what you want BEFORE submitting your request.
👉 If you have questions that aren’t answered on our website or Facebook page, please message us BEFORE launch day.

This helps us process orders much faster and more efficiently!

Your order request email MUST include:
- Full Name (First & Last)
- Address (Shipped hatching egg orders only)
- Phone Number (Best number to reach you — we will call as your order becomes available)
- State whether you want Chicks or Hatching Eggs
• List breeds and quantities (within listed minimums & maximums)

⏳ After submitting your order request on launch day, please allow 1–2 weeks for a response.
I am a one-woman-show when it comes to processing hundreds of emails, and I truly appreciate your patience! But, please DO NOT WORRY! You WILL hear from me! 😁

3. 🐥 WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER REQUEST?

Why do we say “order request”?

Because demand is through the roof — and we can only fulfill so many orders each year.

For 2026 we will be accepting:

• 🐥 200 Baby Chick Orders
• 🐣 50 Hatching Egg Orders

Once we hit those maximums, we will update our launch post. Any additional requests will be notified that we’ve reached capacity.

⚡ We EXPECT to reach our maximums on Launch Day — so be ready on March 7th at 11AM!

📋 The Wait List

If your request is accepted:

- You will be placed on our seasonal wait list (March–September).
- You will receive an order number so you know approximately where you fall on our wait list.
(Example: Baby Chick Order #57 out of 200)

Please EXPECT a wait. We will not quote fulfillment times — I don’t own a crystal ball. 🔮😅
But we will work as quickly and efficiently as humanly possible. (We got through our first 200 orders before August last year and this year we’re aiming to do the same, if not better!)

📞 When Your Order Is Ready

After each weekly hatch:
- Wait list calls will be made Thursdays & Fridays
- Pickups are typically scheduled Friday–Sunday
- Payment is accepted at pickup

If at any point you need to cancel your order, PLEASE let us know ASAP.

🐣 Will ordering re-open later in the season?…
🐣 What about extra Chicks?

If we fulfill all orders before season’s end, we will reopen ordering and make an announcement — and we do anticipate that we will get through all of our initial orders well before that point.

We also post extra chicks throughout the year that don’t match anyone’s order — so if you don’t make the list, please stay tuned!
