Since 2017, Happy Feet Hatchery has been committed to providing healthy, quality chicks as well as hatching eggs. Rooted in small-town values, we’re here to offer not just poultry, but knowledgeable support throughout your chicken-raising journey!

Before we dive in, here’s the most frequently asked question we get:
Q: “What do you do with all the roosters?”
A: We re-home them. We DO NOT process birds.
But now, let’s get into the details of this event!
Requirements:
1. Must be at least 3 months old
2. Must be large fowl
3. Must be in good health
***Space permitting, we may also accept bantams, spent hens, and other poultry, depending on the number of large fowl roosters needing homes.
We take bio-security seriously and inspect each bird upon arrival. We reserve the right to decline any bird that may pose a health risk.
Drop-offs are by appointment only and held on Saturdays—no exceptions. We run a large, busy farm and this is the only time we can dedicate to this free service. Thank you for understanding.
How to Participate:
Message us on Facebook with the following:
1. Number of roosters
2. Current photos of each bird
3. Age(s)
4. Where the birds were purchased
5. Whether your birds get along or need to be separated
***We kindly ask that you please not post your birds in the comments and message us directly. Thank you!
Important Notes:
• Space is limited and spots are filled on a first come, first served basis.
• If your plans change, let us know ASAP so we can offer your spot to someone else.
• If demand is high, we’ll try to hold another Round Up in 2–3 weeks.
We truly appreciate your cooperation and support as we offer this service to our community. We’ll respond to your messages as quickly as possible around our regular farm responsibilities.

Today was absolutely terrifying. A fast-moving brush fire tore through the properties beside and behind us, driven by intense winds, and came within roughly 50 feet of our coops and our property. Watching it move that quickly is something I’ll never forget.
The fire has continued through other parts of our neighborhood, and our hearts are heavy and prayers constant for our neighbors who are still in its path.
We are beyond grateful for the incredible firefighters and forestry service who are working tirelessly, in dangerous conditions, to contain the fire and protect lives, homes, animals, and land.
Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers. May God bless our neighbors, and all of the first responders.

Drops off will be scheduled for this Saturday which yes, is Valentine’s Day… But, they will be scheduled early in the day so they don’t interfere with your evening plans. 😁🐓💝
